(2) Regardless of what is written in the prevailing law, when hearing a case in which a helpless or infirm senior citizen is the only party or opponent, the court shall only hire a legal practitioner to defend him.
(2a) Legal aid will be provided to senior citizens through the District Legal Aid Committee subject to prevailing laws.
